MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Jermaine Collins, 19, of Kansas City, Kansas while at the Riley County Police Department on December 14, 2016 at approximately 6:55 PM. Collins was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Collins’ bond was set at $10,000.00, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property on December 14, 2016, at approximately 3:50 PM in the 800 block of Poyntz Ave. Doris Park, 64, of Manhattan, was listed as a victim when an unknown suspect keyed her Toyota passenger car sometime between noon and 4:45 PM on December 13, 2016. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft on December 14, 2016 at approximately 11:00 PM in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center. Victoria’s Secret was listed as a victim when 3 unknown females took approximately 26 clothing items from the store without paying between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM on December 14, 2016. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,040.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. The Special Investigations Unit made 3 arrests in the 800 block of Commons Place during an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine within Manhattan. Wade Harper, 31, of Ogden, Kansas, was arrested for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to distribute MDMA, felon in possession of a firearm, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Harper’s bond was set at $25,000.00 through Riley County Dist Court causing him to remain confined at the time of this report. Eric Tucker, 30, of Manhattan, was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of MDMA, unlawful use of a telecommunication device, possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Tucker’s bond was set at $20,000.00 through Riley County District Court, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report. Carrie Jones, 47, of Grandview Plaza, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Jones’ bond was set at $2,000.00 through Riley County Dist Court, causing her to remain confined at the time of this report. The investigation is ongoing.
