The boys and girls finalists were determined Sunday at Bramlage Coliseum in the 2016 Hoop Holler N’ Shoot free throw contest. Four boys and four girls from a field of eleven in each division go on to shoot in the finals of the boy’s and girl’s competition on December 6th at the K-State vs. Prairie View A & M mens game.
The four finalists are:
Girls Division
Amelia Knopp, Amanda Arnold, 6th grade. . . hitting 3 of 7 shots
Maura Wiens, Lee, 6 th grade. . . hitting 3 of 7 shots
Alyssa Ingram, Bluemont, 6th grade . . . hitting 2 of 7 shots.
McKenzie Reid, Woodrow Wilson, 5 th grade . . . hitting 2 of 7 shots.
Both Amelia Knopp and Maura Wiens are repeat school champions from last year.

Parker Mores, Manhattan Catholic, 5th grade. . . hitting 4 of 7 shots

Hoop Holler N’ Shoot a program of the Little Apple Optimist Club is a free throw contest for 5th and 6th graders in the Manhattan area grade schools. A boy and girl champion is determined at each school. The grade school champion’s move onto the semi-finals and finals held at Kansas State University basketball games. Over 870 students participated in the school competitions.
