The final open house for Manhattan voters to learn about a special question on the general election ballot is scheduled for6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at Fire Station 5, 3900 Vanesta Dr.
The City of Manhattan is asking voters to consider a 0.20% sales tax increase to fund repairs to existing streets and to implement Safe Routes to School projects. The increase would generate approximately $1.9 million for street repairs and $100,000 for Safe Routes projects annually for 10 years, if voters approve the measure.
