The Green Dress Project is excited to announce that Corvias Military
Living at Ft. Riley, will sponsor the next workshop on Saturday, September 24th at
“We are so grateful to have Jim Champagne and Ft. Riley’s Corvias Military Living step
up to sponsor our workshop. Jim and I share the same vision, empowering young
people going into the workplace with the right skills, and at the same time, helping them
to avoid career ending mistakes so they can start off their careers with a solid
foundation,” said Traci Scott, founder of The Green Dress Project.
“What intriguing times we are living in… women are cracking and shattering glass
ceilings all over the place! Now, many young ladies dreaming of “what they want to be
when they grow up” are dreaming big! But many of these young ladies are making
career crushing mistakes before they can event fill out a resume,” Scott added. The
Green Dress Project is here to help! We will host workshops for young ladies, age 15 and
up – especially young women from underserved communities – teaching them the
importance of values in the workplace, how to dress and carry oneself in a professional
environment. Also, we will work on the soft skills, such as team building, and even the
proper way to shake a hand! A representative from K-State University will provide a
special presentation on how to build a financial plan when starting a career.
