MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Sidney Brown Jr., 16, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 500 block of Pierre St. on March 22, 2017 at approximately 1:35 PM. Brown Jr. was arrested on a Riley County District Court (Juvenile Division) warrant for probation violation. Brown Jr. was issued no bond, and transported to the North Central Kansas Juvenile Detention Facility. Image may be NSFW.

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at Tuttle Creek Blvd. and N. Seth Child Rd. on March 22, 2017 at approximately 4:15 PM. When officers arrived on scene, they found that a Lincoln MKZ, driven by Max McAdams, 84, of Clay Center, Kansas, had collided with a GMC Yukon, driven by Daniel Mathies, 52, of Manhattan. McAdams was transported to Via Christi for treatment. No citations were issued at the scene of the accident.
Officers filed a report for theft in the 400 block of 3rd Pl. on March 22, 2017 at approximately 7:30 PM. Officers listed Bed Bath & Beyond as the victim when 3 suspects loaded a cart full of merchandise and then left the store without paying. The total loss associated with thise case is approximately $1,880.00.
