One person is dead and another seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of College Ave., near Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Riley County Police say the victim has not been identified and the passenger who suffered life-threatening injuries was taken to the hospital via helicopter.

Officers with the Riley County Police Department and Kansas State University Police Department in a collaborative response between area emergency personnel arrived at the scene of a single vehicle collision near the intersection of College Avenue and Kimball Avenue in Manhattan at approximately 7:20 AM today.
Personnel on scene with the assistance of the Manhattan Fire Department extricated 2 occupants from a 2009 Chevy Cobalt which sustained significant damage which included fire to the back end. This vehicle came to rest in a creek bed with approximately 18 inches of water.
Gary Harris, 63, of Manhattan, the driver of this vehicle, was pronounced deceased after being transported to Via Christi Hospital by Riley County EMS.
Devin Busick, 14, of Manhattan was transported to Via Christi Hospital prior to being transported by air to Topeka, Kansas for medical treatment of a head injury. At the time of this release his condition was unknown.
Police continue to investigate this collision and at the time of this release, no further information was available.
