Heavy rains have saturated the Junction City – Manhattan area, leaving some creeks and rivers in a flood stage.
The National Weather Service on Sunday issued a hydrologic outlook. Lyon Creek near Junction City was expected to crest on Sunday at 21.6 feet, six inches above flood stage.
Separately, the National Weather Service continued a flood warning for the Smoky Hill River near Junction City, and the Kansas River at Manhattan, affecting Pottawatomie, Riley and Wabaunsee Counties.
