Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve: A Flint Hills Love Story

Dave Kendall documentary film producer has created an 88 minute film tomark the 20th anniversary of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, near Strong City, Kansas.
The documentary film debuts Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Granada Theatre in Emporia, Kansas at 7 p.m. The National Park Service will host activities at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve during the afternoon to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Kendall, of Prairie Hollow Productions LLC, commented that the film has five parts which put the creation of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve into broader context. The parts are as follows:
Part 1: America’s Characteristic Landscape
Part 2: Saving the Tallgrass Prairie
Part 3: Ranch for Sale
Part 4: A Cooperative Agreement
Part 5: Connecting with the Planet
Kendall acknowledges the support of the Flint Hills Discovery Center Foundation, Azura Credit Union, Kansas Humanities Council, Barton P. & Mary D. Cohen Charitable Trust, Trusler Foundation, Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., Dianne Shumaker, Richard & Sarah Porter, Porter Cattle Co. and numerous individuals in funding this project.
A second film screening is scheduled at the Wareham Opera House in Manhattan, Kansas on Sunday, November 20, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at the Flint Hills Discovery Center. Both engagements are free to the public but seating is limited and interested guests are requested to register through one of the sites below.
