The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Kansas River at Manhattan until Saturday morning.
At 9 a.m. Wednesday, the stage was 15.1 feet and the flood stage is 18 feet. Minor flooding is forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage by this aftetrnoon and continue to rise to near 18.7 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
The river will fall below flood stage before midnight Friday. At 18 feet low lands along the river can flood.
