There are flood concerns on Wednesday morning in Riley County.
Emergency Management Director Pat Collins said about 9 a.m. that early Wednesday morning it looked like Wildcat Creek was going to overflow its banks. “So we went around door to door in Keats notifying the people that they need to move stuff out of that flood plain area. We did the same thing for the Highland Ridge area near Scenic and Anderson.”
Collins stated that Wildcat Creek Road was closed in that area, Poliska closed closer to K-18 and K-18 east or Zeandale Road had also been closed.
No houses are threatened.
