Miller and Scenic intersection to open Nov. 1

Work has been underway since spring to extend Miller Parkway from its previous dead-end near the Lee Mill Heights 9 subdivision west to intersect with Scenic Drive. Turn lanes were added on Scenic, and a traffic signal was installed at the intersection. Beginning Nov. 1, the traffic signals will be turned on and turn lanes open for use.

Please be observant with the change in traffic patterns.

Work continues at West Anderson intersection

Construction of a reconfigured intersection at Anderson, Scenic and Kimball, known as West Anderson, will continue through the winter. A tentative timeline has been established for the project.

Underground utility work to relocate water and sewer lines and install storm sewer is a bulk of the work for the upcoming months. Temporary roads that will be used while the roundabout is under construction are also being installed. Work to install theHAWK pedestrian signal near the Anneberg Park entrance will likely occur this winter after games are complete at the park’s ball fields.

Paving will begin in the spring, with the majority of the construction of the roundabout scheduled for next summer. Project completion is targeted for fall 2017.
