WABAUNSEE COUNTY – One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. on Wednesday in Wabaunsee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported A 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Brian T. Roberts, 54, Alma, was westbound on Interstate 70 at Windy Hill Road in the right lane.
The Olds swerved into the left lane to avoid a 1979 Chevy passenger vehicle driven by Edward James
Hazlett, 47, Amboy, WA., that was westbound in the right hand lane at about 35 mph.
The driver lost control and the Olds sideswiped the Chevy.
Hazlett was transported to the hospital in Topeka.
Roberts was not injured.
Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
