Flint Hills Discover Center
Manhattan, Kan. – On Monday, November 12 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, the Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC) will be celebrating Veterans Appreciation Day. This event is made possible by support from the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation and the Flint Hills Discovery Center Foundation.
The FHDC would like to thank all who have served by opening its doors free to all Veterans, Active Duty, Retired, their families and Gold Star families. We are grateful for your service and sacrifice.
Guests will have access to the exhibitions inside of the FHDC, including our latest exhibit, Bison: The Great American Icon. This exhibit celebrates the history and significance of this North American mammal, and highlights the importance of its preservation and conservation. Created by the National Bison Association, the Kauffman Museum, and the National Buffalo Museum, Bison will be on exhibit until January 13, 2019.
