RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a case of alleged identify theft.
Just after 4:30p.m. Friday, police filed a report for identity theft and theft in the 2400 block of W 60th Ave. in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 71-year-old Manhattan man and Sprint reported an unknown suspect stole services by creating an account in the victim’s name.
The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $5,967.00.
Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
