DICKINSON COUNTY – Three people were injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Wednesday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford pickup driven by Lisa R. Simmons, 52, Vassar, was eastbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of Mink Road. The vehicle rear-ended the tow unit of a 2002 Ford SUV driven by Dale E. Vondell, 58, Junction City, that was traveling 55 miles-per-hour while towing another vehicle
Simmons, Vondell and a passenger in the SUV Dorothy V. Vondell, 61, Junction City, were transported to Geary Community Hospital.
All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
