SALINE COUNTY -A Manhattan man is in the Saline County Jail accused of breaking into a vehicle parked at a Salina convenience store.
Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Deveral Wilson, 33, allegedly reached into an unsecured silver 2003 BMW that was parked at The Korner Store, 220 W. Crawford in Salina, according to
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney.
A rosary valued at $10 and $1.82 in change were taken from the vehicle.
Sweeney said Wilson was arrested by officers a short time later at the intersection of Santa Fe and Prescott.
The rosary was recovered, but the cross was broken off.
Wilson was booked into jail on requested charges of vehicle burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
