The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for identity theft and criminal use of a financial card in Ogden, Kansas, on October 31, 2017 at approximately 2:35 PM. Officers listed a 48 year old male as the vicitm when he reported a 43 year old female known to him used his credit card without permission. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,100.00. Due to the nature of the crime reported (domestic) no additional information will be released.
Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic batttery, domestic battery, criminal threat and criminal restraint in Manhattan on October 31, 2017. Officers listed a 50 year old female as the victim when a male suspect known to her hit her, threatened her and refused to let her leave. Due to the nature of the crimes reported, no additional information will be released.
Dondi Walker, 47, of Topeka, Kansas, was arrested in the 300 block of Poyntz Avenue on October 31, 2017 at approximately 4:20 PM. Walker was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of felony drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia. Walker’s total bond was set at $10,000.00 causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for theft in the 700 block of Commons Place in Manhattan on October 31, 2017 at approximately 4:50 PM. Officers listed Breahna Karmann, 22, of Manhattan, as the victim when she reported a known male suspect took her iPhone 7. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $655.00.
Officers filed a report for indecent liberties with a child in Manhattan on October 31, 2017. Officers listed a 14 year old male as the victim when it was reported a 15 year old male known to him touched him inappropriately. Due to the nature of the crime reported no additional information will be released.
Max Kubik, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on November 1, 2017 at approximately 2:55 AM. Kubik was arrested on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and liquor purchase/consumption by a minor. Kubik’s total bond was set at $5,000.00 causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
