MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for aggravated assault and violation of a protection order (both domestic related) in the city of Manhattan on July 14, 2017. Officers listed a 28 year old female as the victim when she reported that a 23 year old male known to her attempted to run her over with her vehicle and also violated a protection order. Due to the nature of the crimes reported, no additional information will be released.
John Falley-Wallace, 14, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 2000 block of Seaton Ave. on July 14, 2017 at approximately 2:25 PM. Falley-Wallace was arrested for violating a no-run order. Falley-Wallace was transported to the North Central Kansas Juvenile Detention Facility, where he was held on no bond.
Officers filed a report for motor vehicle theft in the 1400 block of Yuma St. on July 15, 2017 at approximately 6:45 AM. Officers listed David Detweiler, 21, of Manhattan, as the victim when he reported that his silver 2005 Nissan 350z had been taken by an unknown suspect. Kirby Williamson, 22, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on July 15, 2017 at approximately 4:15 PM. Williamson was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated robbery. Williamson’s bond was set at $20,000.00, causing her to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for aggravated burglary in the 2100 block of Blue Hills Rd. on July 15, 2017 at approximately 7:40 PM. Officers listed Roger Hinkle, 67, of Manhattan, as the victim when he reported that an unknown suspect entered his garage and took a Black and Decker chop saw and a Hobart impact wrench. Officers responded to the 5100 block of McDowell Creek Rd. on July 15, 2017 at approximately 8:55 PM for a report of an injury accident. When officers arrived on scene, they found that Brendan Kinsley, 18, of Manhattan, had flipped an ATV he was driving. Kinsley was lifeflighted to Stormont Vail for his injuries. Grace Smith, 16, of Manhattan, was a passenger on the ATV and was lifeflighted to Stormont Vail in critical condition.
Officers filed a report for robbery in the 1100 block of Laramie St. on July 16, 2017 at approximately 2:25 PM. Officers listed Dustin Davidson, 21, of Hope, Kansas, as the victim, when he reported that 2 unknown suspects threatened to harm him unless he gave them his cash and phone. Taken was a iPhone 6, cash, and keys. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $430.00. Shawn Brown, 33, of Ramona, Kansas, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on July 16, 2017 at approximately 3:30 PM. Brown was arrested on a Geary County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Brown’s bond was set at $10,000.00, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for aggravated assault (domestic related) in the city of Manhattan on July 16, 2017. Officers listed a 23 year old female and a 30 year old male as the victims when they reported that a 24 year old male known to them threatened them with a knife. Officers listed Emerald Property Management as the victim when it was reported that an unknown suspect damaged the electrical meter and conduit, and cut electrical cables as well. Hal Lucas, 50, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 2900 block of Claflin Rd. on July 16, 2017 at approximately 7:25 PM. Lucas was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lucas’ total bond was set at $6,000.00, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 2200 block of Spain Dr. on July 16, 2017 at approximately 9:55 PM. Officers listed Dara’s Rental as the victim, when it was reported that an unknown suspect damaged multiple window screens at her residence.
