A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Fort Riley’s new Custer Hill Aquatic Park
will take place at 9 a.m. Friday.
The new facility-which includes a pool with zero-depth entry, a lazy river,
waterslides and a climbing wall-replaces a swimming pool built in the 1960s.
Construction of the $3.5 million project was overseen by Fort Riley’s
Directorate of Public Works and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
To celebrate the grand opening, admission to the new facility is free all
day Friday, June 30.
