RILEY COUNTY – Two Kansas women were injured in an accident just after 5p.m. on Saturday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Toyota Matrix driven by Alexandria N. Smith, 21, Junction City, was west bound on Interstate 70 five miles east of Kansas 177.
The vehicle changed lanes and another vehicle changed lanes Neither driver applied brakes.
Smith lost control of the Toyota and it rolled into the median.
Smith and a passenger Muenfua A. Lewis, 22, Olathe, were transported to the hospital in Manhattan.
Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
