MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for theft in the 3900 block of Kaw Rd. on May 30, 2017 at approximately 9:45 AM. Officers listed Johnny Holle, 71, of Manhattan, as the victim when he reported a suspect known to him entered his residence over the past 3 months and took 4 books of checks and an antique coin collection. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,500.00.
Officers filed a report for theft and criminal use of a financial card in the 1100 block of Bluemont Ave. on May 30, 2017 at approximatley 1:00 PM. Officers listed Moriah Holmes, 24, of Manahttan, and Kansas State Bank as victims when they reported an unknown suspect took Holmes’ new debit card out of her mailbox and used it to withdraw $500.00 from an ATM. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
Daniel Mainville, 32, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 100 block of Courthouse Pl. on May 30, 2017 at approximately 1:30 PM. Mainville was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Mainville’s bond was set at $10,000.00. Mainville was not confined at the time of this report.
Joshua Dixon, 27, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 600 block of Colorado St. on May 30, 2017 at approximately 2:10 PM. Dixon was arrested on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Dixon was given no bond, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for vehicle burglary in the 2400 block of Pillsbury Crossing Ln. on May 30, 2017 at approximately 5:10 PM. Officers listed Kristen Seibert, 19, of Fort Riley, Kansas, as the victim when she reported that a known suspect entered her vehicle and took an iPhone 6 (with case), debit cards, and a dog chew toy. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $810.00.
Officers filed a report for computer unlawful acts and identity theft in the 1400 block of Anderson Ave. on May 30, 2017 at approximately 7:10 PM. Officers listed Viki Horan, 64, of Manhattan, K-State Credit Union, and Paypal as the victims when it was reported that a known suspect used Horan’s debit card information to make 3 online purchases totaling $750.00.
